I live in Perth, married & have 2 gorgeous grown boys, 1 beautiful daughter-in-law and 2 adorable grandsons.
I am passionate about growing my own produce and producing delicious healthy meals with fresh seasonal ingredients. I love cooking, spending hours in the kitchen making a special meal to share with family and friends really is my happy place. I love having a tribe of people around my dinner table.
I have been through a variety of changes in my life and see every phase as a new opportunity for growth and I believe in being comfortable with where life has brought us, even if through tragedy and hardship, because whatever the journey has been, it is a part of who you/we are now.
After a 15-year military career spanning 3 countries, smashing through glass ceilings, working in leadership and teaching roles, and finally in an overseas diplomatic mission having to balance cultural differences and a tense political environment, I moved back to Australia, started a family and a business.
As a small business owner for over 25 years, I gained experience being the ‘Chief Everything Officer’ managing staff, budgets, inventory, marketing, customer service, international trade and so on, all the while being ‘present’ for my husband (who worked away for many years), 2 growing boys and running the household, so I have a great understanding of the highs and lows of running your own business - whilst successfully balancing home & family.
That business afforded me the flexibility to be present for my boys while they were growing up which was really important to me. I fully understand the complexities of being a working mum and wanting to give 100% to every part of your life. I know how easy it is to forget about yourself and just constantly give to others. As my boys left school and moved on with their lives, I learned, very slowly, to take some ME time, to practice a bit of SELF LOVE.
Since then, recently, I have been through a cancer and chemotherapy journey, and my inner strength and mindset without a doubt, catapulted me through that experience and I can honestly say that I kicked cancer and chemo in the butt! You can listen to my story here.
I was very keen to make a career change and contribute to helping and mentoring others. I am very patient, tolerant and compassionate and love working with people. I discovered coaching which was the perfect direction for me to move into. I have researched and studied, to learn the best practices to help my clients.
As a child (and later in the military) I was bullied, I had no confidence, I was ridiculously shy, I was too scared to speak most of the time. Deep inside within me though, there was always an incredible strength which appeared out of nowhere when I really needed it.
Having dealt with bullying for a large part of my life, realised my inner strengths and having changed direction so many times in my life, I know that it is never too late for anything and nothing is impossible.
Is to inspire and motivate others to become the best possible fulfilled and happy version of themselves. To help them remove limiting beliefs, find alignment with their true values and passions, build resilience, courage and confidence.
To empower others with the tools to create the life of their dreams. I want to help people to remember or discover the ‘awesome’ within.
